Counterfeit Detection Workshops
The Central Bank of The Bahamas (the Central Bank) advises that it will host four Counterfeit Detection Workshops aimed at enhancing public awareness and strengthening the capacity of cash handlers to identify counterfeit banknotes.
The sessions will provide practical guidance on the key security features of Bahamian banknotes, common counterfeit indicators and best practices for handling and verifying cash transactions. The in-person sessions will be hosted as follows:
New Providence
Date: 11 November 2025
Time: Session 1: 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm
Session 2: 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Venue: Central Bank of The Bahamas
Burnside Meeting Room
Grand Bahama
Date: 12 November 2025
Time: Session 1: 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm
Session 2: 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Venue: Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce

The Central Bank encourages all stakeholders to take advantage of this initiative to safeguard against counterfeit currency circulation.
